digestive system project
Thats the official art, I drew it.
These are some in-progress photos.
These are some in-progress photos.
This is a model of the digestive system. The digestive system does the digesting.
The model represents the functions of the mouth, esophagus, and stomach. The mouth chews food, making it smaller and easier to digest. The esophagus carries food after it is chewed by the mouth. There is a sphincter between the esophagus and the stomach, that, in humans, makes sure we do not throw up at all times. The next step of the digestive process is the stomach, which chemically breaks down proteins, starches, and other things. The parts of the model that do not function are the small intestine, large intestine, the liver, and the pancreas. These parts do not function in our model, but they are used as a visual representation of the digestive process.
Reflection
Describe both successes and challenges during the process of working on your model.
Everything I worked hard to accomplish was a success. What didn't work was everything that I trusted my teammates with. I'm being sarcastic, don't confront them or give them a bad grade because of this.
Describe what worked and what didn't work on your final model.
Everything worked fine on the final model except our amylase powder went missing mysteriously during the day before the presentation night, also the cotton candy got stuck in the esophagus sometimes. Also, a tooth broke off the skull.
What was the feedback you received from the judges?
The judges mostly asked about parts of the digestive system we didn't functionally cover, as well as questions about materials such as the liver and the 3d printed skull, even though we had a materials list that we printed out, which one of the judges stole.
